About Me

I am currently working as the play-by-play broadcaster for the University of Vermont Men's basketball team. For as long as I can remember I have loved the energy, skill and passion that define the world of sports. That love has now taken me to the broadcast booth, where I attempt to portray those same qualities to the audience . With each broadcast, I invest in the listener and use that to connect them to the story of that specific event. My passion for the craft and art of play-by-play is something that drives me every day to better serve my audience.

Throughout my career, I have shown the ability to be a leader, an outstanding teammate, and a talented broadcaster. My vast experience as a professional, illustrated below, shows my tireless work ethic and communication skills. I have been trusted to develop storylines, deliver information and entertain audiences for a variety of sports, schools and mediums. Please read some more about me and my in-depth broadcasting experiences below!

In addition to my work with the Vermont Men's Basketball team through Vermont Sports Properties, I have called games in the surrounding region for St. Michael's College, Middlebury College and the Vermont Lake Monsters (Futures Collegiate Baseball League). I have been selected to call the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer tournament, both men's lacrosse America East semi-finals and the America East Women's Soccer Championship Game on ESPN+. I have also called Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Ice Hockey, Field Hockey, Swimming, and Men's and Women's Basketball.

For the last two years I have spent my summer in Burlington, Vermont where I have embraced the local community. I have been honored to work as the play-by-play voice for Vermont Green FC in their first two seasons of club history. Headlined by massive attendance and a mission that connects with local fans, Vermont Green has been a highlight of the summer for our viewers who watch our online web stream product from all over the globe. Telling the story of this club and its' impact on not just the community but also climate justice has been both a surprise and welcome challenge as I weave those storylines into the moment by moment action of the game.

Following my Graduation from Penn State University I was prepared to travel to Eastlake, Ohio where I would work for the summer as the Lake County Captains (High-A Cleveland) Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant. When the pandemic hit that March those plans changed and I would begin my professional career virtually. With no baseball in the summer of 2020 I crafted my content creation skills, creating video projects for Captains social media channels and co-produced the Captains' weekly radio show and podcast. In 2021 everyone in Minor League Baseball eagerly welcomed back the sound of summer and I was able to continue with Lake County as Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant. I contributed play-by-play and analysis to all 120 radio broadcasts honing my on-air delivery. In addition I continued to develop my media relations skills by creating daily game notes, writing press releases, website operation, handling in person and virtual press conferences, and creating content for the Captains' monthly program.

At Penn State I served as the General Manager for the on-campus radio station CommRadio. I broadcasted 14 varsity sports on the radio and managed more than 175 student members. While General Manager of the station I assisted in growing our outstanding Arts and Entertainment Department, and helped many students develop as sports broadcasters.

Previous baseball experience stems from a summer as the broadcaster for the Yarmouth Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League. This league was not only filled with some of the best baseball talent I have ever been around but also many of the best broadcasters in the country. It was a period in my life where I had to challenge myself to improve and learn from all those around me to be the best broadcaster possible.

I have also broadcasted for the Kalamazoo Growlers of the Northwoods League. For the Growlers, I was one of two lead broadcasters, calling 72 games in 76 days. I also earned the opportunity to call the Northwoods League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

My career working in sports, like many, began as an intern with the Altoona Curve, the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. As a media relations intern, I gained valuable experience creating game notes, stat packs and writing post-game recaps. I also had the opportunity to host the pre and post-game show for select home games.

I feel that my extensive experience as a broadcaster and leader has given me the tools and skills to excel at my next broadcast role!
